South America here we come...Chile first stop

We arrived in Santiago, Chile extremely jet lagged and exhausted. George´s god father had arranged for us to stay in his company apartment in the Marriott hotel which was lovely and very much appreciated. We spent a week resting and met Christian and Piero from the office who took us out for the night, skiing and to watch the football - thank you guys!

Christian and Piero took us to La Urracus for dinner, drinks and dancing!

The next day Piero took us to watch his team play football and for a lovely Italian lunch/dinner.

La Serena and the Elqui Valley
Whilst in La Serena we visited the Elqui Valley which was beautiful and also where they make their local lethal drink - Pisco. We visited a Pisco distillery whilst there:

San Pedro
We arrived in San Pedro and arranged to go on several tours, the first stop was the Valley of the Moon:














The next day we visited the salt flats with flamingoes and lagoons:














And finally we got up a 3.30am to climb to 5200m to see the geysers:












The bars and restaurants in San Pedro were lovely with open roofs and fires in the middle as at night it was freezing:


We visited Iquique next the ´duty free´town and spent a few days relaxing on the beach before flying to La Paz, Bolivia.
